traaanslated from one of Bowen's fics--
Standing in the long queue for the large ferris wheel with a thirty minute ride, Izumo massaged his temples.
With the new year barely passed, when the sea breeze blew, Izumo felt his neck only to realise he'd forgotten his scarf in his hurry to head out.
In theory, he was still a sick patient. Why had he rejected a beautiful lady's advances to come here to this legendary dating spot to stand with two men in the cold.
"Because we just happened to end up here and the ferris wheel's tickets are on sale for half-price, so we accidentally ended up in queue."
"That isn't the issue, the sign up there clearly says 'half-price discount for couples'!"
"Ah, we've actually been dating for nine years now."
"Alright, putting this issue aside for now, don't you think there's a problem with the number of people present..."
"Don't worry, don't worry~" In the middle of his words, it was now their turn to purchase from the ticket booth. Totsuka stepped up smiling to the person behind the counter and said, "Please give me three couples' ticket."

Even after he sat down in the ferris wheel overlooking the city's night scenery with the pink half-priced ticket in his hand, Izumo still couldn't believe it.
Had this world already sunken so low, or had this city's system and humanity's cognitive process decayed.
"Totsuka."
"Hmm?" His head tilted to one side, Totsuka looked over with a face of innocence, as if he didn't realise he'd just done something extraordinary.
"How did you manage to buy three couples' ticket."
"I told the ticketing person just now, the two men standing behind me are my current and my ex and that the two of them are probably having an intimate relationship behind my back... Ouch..."

"Don't worry, don't worry, it'll all work out."
"Still, it's true the three of us haven't been out like this for a very long time. This feels very nostalgic."
"Kusanagi-san used to resent coming out with us because you never met any girls when we're together."
"Because Mikoto's face is too frightening and your face only draws in reckless old men."
"New year's eve during the third year of high school, it was Kusanagi-san that the three drunks touched."
"Didn't I pay you 300 yen to forget about that incident."
"That's why I just remembered about it."

"That's good, isn't it. Besides, everything will work out," Totsuka said, smiling as well. "I'll do my best to let Kusanagi-san and King both be happy."
"Ah, thank you very much my dear ex boyfriend, but why don't you spent some time to think about yourself?"
"I'm already very happy."
Totsuka then calmly added, "Even if I were to die right now."

"Hey, Totsuka...!!" Izumo anxiously tried to stop him from saying anything else.
Even if the Red King's flames reduced this cable car into ash, Izumo still wouldn't be frightened. The thought of having to compensate with money was more painful.
Totsuka calmly continued, his usually emotive voice suddenly quiet like a gently strumming guitar, "On that day, after I was shot, when I was lying on the rooftop, I was also thinking this."

"That I could meet King and Kusanagi-san and everyone else in Homra, no matter how short the time, it was enough."
"Because of our encounters, my life right now is exciting enough, fulfilling enough. I treasure every breath I take, every heartbeat of mine when I am with everyone. When this life finally comes to an end, it doesn't matter how--"
Totsuka paused, looking at the red earring of Mikoto's shimmering under the moonlight. "It isn't worth enough to bear your responsibilities and your sorrows."
